You might feel like it’s not real compared to the common scholarship your friends are awarded, but these scholarships are as real as real gets! So, do not hesitate to go for these and add more to your college money fund. There are not a lot of applicants for these scholarships given their unusualness which means there’s less competition. So, why not try?


1. Are you tall?


Would you believe me if I say you can win a scholarship for being tall?


Believe me, because you can! That’s how odd (yet real) these scholarships are. This scholarship is named, ‘Tall Clubs International Foundation Scholarship’ and is awarded by the Tall Clubs International Foundation, Inc., which is a non-profit organization. The award money is up to $1,000 each.


How tall should you be to win this scholarship? It has two different measurements for men and women. For men, it’s 6'2" (188 cm) and for women, it’s 5'10" (178 cm). You should also be under 21 years of age and attending your first year of higher education. So, if you are vertically gifted and match these schemes, this one’s for you!

2. Can you make your own prom outfit?


If you can make your own prom outfit and wear it to the prom, the ‘Stuck at Prom Scholarship’ is for you. The thing is, your outfit should be entirely made out of Duct Tape®! The award money varies from $500 to $10,000.


To apply, you should be a resident of either the United States and the District of Columbia (excluding Maryland, Vermont, and Colorado) or Canada (excluding the Province of Quebec), and be 14 years or older. You should also attend a high school, home school association, or any other school-sanctioned prom. And you shouldn’t have been a finalist in any previous ‘Stuck at Prom’ contest before.

3. Are you a fan of memes?

That’s what the Fire Memes Scholarship is about. For a chance to win, you just simply have to submit your favorite memes. You get bonus points for originality. 4. Are you 4’10”?


It’s not only tall people that get weird scholarships. If you are short in height, you can get a scholarship too! This is awarded by the Little People of America and is offered to its organizational members. If you are 4’10” or shorter in height, this scholarship is meant to be for you!


This educational scholarship from the Little People of America is for prospective and current college or vocational school students in the United States. The award money ranges from $250 to $1000.

5. Can you play or sing the US national anthem?


I mean, YES!?


Who would have thought that there will be a scholarship for singing or playing the national anthem, right? But there is, and it’s called, ‘The Icy Frost Bridge Scholarship’.


This scholarship is intended for female music students at DePauw University. If you can play or sing the US national anthem, it’s yours. How simple! The brother of Icy Frost, Jack Frost Bridge, a DePauw University alumnus, is the organizer. The award money for this scholarship varies.

6. Are you an Amish descendant?


If you have grown up Amish and your family lives an Amish lifestyle, this one’s for you. Amish Descendant Scholarship Fund awards you a scholarship worth $20,000 for being Amish! You must also have earned your GED or high school diploma to be eligible for this scholarship. The aim here is to help Amish and former Amish students through their college education.
